Are Your Workouts Harming Your Gut?

It’s undeniable that exercise is crucial for our overall health, but like most things, the dose matters. In terms of gut health, exercise has been shown in many cases to be beneficial for the gut! Increased levels of cardiorespiratory fitness have been associated with a more diverse, healthy gut microbiome. Exercise has also been shown to help reduce inflammation. Although it does cause inflammation in the body short-term, it can actually act as an anti-inflammatory in the long run.
