When it comes to eating, exercise, sleep, and other health behaviors, does timing matter? Is a calorie just a calorie, or does it matter when you eat it? Does it matter what time of day you exercise? As long as you get 8 hours of sleep, is that all you need? This topic is debated quite often in the health space, and it’s something I’ve been really interested in recently. In order to understand if timing really does matter, let’s take a look at something called “clock genes.”
