Today I’m chatting with Courtney Swan, the creator of Realfoodology.com, food activist, integrative nutritionist, and nutritionist/personal assistant to Tove Lo! Courtney has been touring around the world with Tove for quite some time now, and she has an incredibly insightful perspective on how much the food industry differs between countries. We talk about food in America vs food in other nations, why our food system has so many problems, the importance of organic foods, issues with pesticides, and food companies’ sneaky marketing tactics. Courtney shares what it’s like to be traveling almost nonstop throughout the year, how she manages to stay healthy while traveling, her top tips for finding high quality food in different places, and her favorite countries to eat in. We talk about how she became so passionate about the food industry, why she decided to become an integrative nutritionist, the power of high fat diets, and much much more!

For more about Courtney, head to realfoodology.com and follow her on Instagram (@realfoodology)!

Note: Courtney wanted me to let you know that she accidentally misspoke during the episode – GMO corn is registered as a pesticide, not a fertilizer!
