In this episode, I sit down and chat about all things health with Lisa Kara, a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner and creator of Zinc Nutrition. We first discuss the film What the Health, which has caused quite a stir on the Internet. We discuss some of the lies perpetuated in the film, like the idea that all eggs and all sources of meat are unhealthy, and we explain why those statements are untrue. We talk about what really causes diabetes, heart disease, and other medical conditions, and we discuss whether or not vegan diets are truly healthy. We also talk about the coconut oil scandal in the media and why we actually love coconut oil. We talk about healthy fats, what to look for when buying animal protein, the problem with sugar, and more. Lisa also explains how she got interested in nutrition, the differences between a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner and a Registered Dietitian, problems with Western medicine, and what kind of health issues NTPs can help with.
