Heartburn or acid reflux is one of the most common symptoms people complain about, and it’s also one of the most mistreated problems I see! GERD (Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease) is a more serious form of acid reflux, and it is actually the most common digestive disorder in the country. Symptoms of GERD include heartburn, trouble swallowing, chronic coughing, asthma, dental erosions, and more. Heartburn and GERD are not the same thing, though, so keep that in mind. If you experience indigestion every so often, it’s not usually a big deal. If it’s a repeated occurrence and becomes chronic, however, then that is not normal, and you should get to the root cause. Thankfully, there’s usually a very easy fix for heartburn!
