If you’ve been diagnosed with Candida overgrowth, antifungal supplementation will be necessary to fully eradicate it. Changing your diet is crucial, but diet alone will not actually get rid of the overgrowth. (You can check out this post to learn more about the signs and symptoms of Candida overgrowth.) If you’re unsure if you have it, visit a health practitioner to get a stool test done to find out for sure, because there are different types of fungal overgrowths and bacterial overgrowths that can cause similar symptoms. When you know exactly what type of overgrowth you have, you can target it with the most effective herbs rather than guessing. In my opinion, the best test is the GI Map, and the next best are Genova and Doctor’s Data. You can order a Doctor’s Data test yourself through directlabs.com by searching for “Comprehensive Stool Analysis w/Parasitology x3- Doctor’s Data Kit,” but the downside to this is that you won’t have a practitioner to interpret it. However, you could bring the results to a practitioner later on.
