One of the key components of building a successful and aligned coaching business is serving your clients in a way that lights you up and makes you feel good. As entrepreneurs, we can grow and expand a lot – and this means our businesses might evolve with us, too! What once used to be our dream client and ideal niche might not be anymore – and that’s okay. While making a business pivot might seem scary or intimidating at first, these are often just signs of excitement about stepping into something more expansive.
While you might be eager and excited to shift your coaching business into something that feels more aligned, it’s important to get extremely clear on where you are headed and who you want to be serving, first. (Check out this podcast episode to hear a live coaching call example of how to work through this!)
Here are 5 questions to ask yourself before making a pivot in your coaching business that will set you up for success:
1. Who is my new ideal client?
Start by asking yourself what lights you up the most when working with a client. Is it a certain topic you talk about with them? Is it working with someone who has a specific type of problem?
Once you’re clear on what feels good and aligned to you, start to paint a mental picture of your new dream client. Who are they? What is their age? What do they do for a living, and where do they live? What are they interested in? Most importantly, what is the main issue that they are looking for support with – and why are they looking to invest in someone else to help them achieve this type of support?
Getting clear on why your client is seeking help is an extremely important first step!
2. Does my marketing clearly reflect who I serve and how I serve them?
Now that you have an idea of who you want to help and what type of support they’re looking for, it’s important to make sure any social media bios and marketing materials reflect this in a very clear and concise way. For example, consider adding an “I help” statement to your Instagram bio. This can be a single sentence that addresses how you help “x” type of person achieve “y,” so that they can do or feel “z”. In order to make it feel as relevant as possible, speak to how your ideal client feels on a daily basis and prioritize the buzzwords that would resonate with that person the most.
3. What is the intention behind my coaching container or offer?
If you want to best serve your new client, creating intentional containers and offers that help them achieve their desired transformation is key. Make sure that every program and package you put out addresses a specific concern that is relevant to your client. If your ideal client has a specific issue they are looking to resolve, your offer should be the obvious solution!
4. How do I create content that clearly attracts my new ideal client?
Just like any offers or containers you create, infusing your content with intentionality is extremely important if you want to attract the right clients. Since social media is the first place new potential clients are likely to be exposed to you, you’ll want to create a mix of content that addresses any objections they might have about working with you and content that paints a really clear picture of what the end result of working with you could look like for them. Since you probably already have plenty of helpful existing content, consider how you might be able to repurpose it to speak to your new ideal client.
Now that you’re clear on who you want to serve and how you want to serve them – and your content and marketing clearly reflects this – it’s time to let your energy do the work! With every offer and piece of content you put out, embody what you want to teach – and you will magnetize your ideal clients. If the energy behind everything you put out reflects how you want your ideal clients to feel, they will naturally be drawn to you!

If you’re a spiritual entrepreneur, you might be wondering how to navigate all of the ascension and frequency shifts that come with The Great Awakening. As more and more people wake up and the frequency of the planet continues to shift, we might find that some of the old ways we used to structure or run our businesses are no longer working. It all comes down to business energetics and shifting things to align with the new frequency of the Earth – which means finding new ways to shift our business from operating in 3D to aligning with higher-frequency, 5D energy. (If you’re interested in diving deeper into this topic, be sure to listen to this podcast episode about 5D Business!)
Here are four important shifts you can make to start running your business in 5D:
1. Make business decisions out of love & abundance, instead of fear & scarcity.
Whether or not we realize it, many of us have been conditioned to build our businesses from a place of lack or scarcity mindset. Are you building your offer a certain way because you’re afraid no one will purchase it if you create it the way you want to? Are you holding back in any areas of your business out of fear of being seen? Are you building this business around doing something you LOVE, or just doing something you think will make you successful? These are important questions to ask yourself to identify the energy from which you’re building your business! In order to align with the frequency of 5D, it’s important that all of the decisions made for our business are intentional and come from a place of love and abundance.
2. Stop focusing on what you “should do,” and start following your passion & unique gifts.
Each person has their own unique gifts to offer the world – so when everyone is clear on their passion and living in alignment, all of the needs of society get met! However, so many entrepreneurs get caught up in what they’re told they “should” be doing in order to be perceived as successful. In order to do your part and serve the collective, it’s important to get clear on what you are truly passionate about. Are you being true to yourself and doing work you love to do, or are you doing what other people expect of you, in the way that you “should?” Take some time to reflect on what is the highest truth for you, rather than what the collective perceives as the truth about how to be successful – these are often not the same! Don’t be afraid to try something new – just because no one else has seen it before doesn’t mean it won’t work. Realize that as an entrepreneur, you have the freedom and the ability to individualize your business in the way that works best for you.
3. Be intentional and authentic with what you put out.
Take a moment to reflect: Is everything you put out valuable, or are you simply creating things for the sake of creating it? Our society can condition us to believe that “more is better” or that “time equals money,” but 5D business is all about the energetic exchange and how much value you are providing. With each offer you create, set the intention for how you want it to support and serve others. In return, the Universe will support you right back!
4. Don’t be afraid to implement new tools and approaches.
Take a moment to ask yourself where you’re still operating your business in old, outdated paradigms like, “you have to work harder to make more money” or “work has to be stressful!” As mentioned before, don’t be afraid to try new techniques! So many energetic tools – such as Human Design and energy healing – are becoming popular in the context of business, because they allow entrepreneurs to focus on the energetics of their businesses and growing them from a place of alignment. When we live and operate from an understanding that everything is energy, we also realize that the more time we focus on expanding and supporting ourselves, the more our businesses – which are really just extensions of ourselves – are supported, too!

Whether you’ve hit a growth block in your business and can’t seem to scale, or you find you have to grind yourself to the bone just to barely move the needle, these are important indicators that you’re probably not running your business from a place of alignment.
To run a thriving business that actually feels good, it’s critical to be in flow – and to be in flow, you have to be doing what’s aligned for you! So many entrepreneurs stick to what they know in terms of what has successfully built their business in the past, or what they’ve seen other entrepreneurs do to grow their businesses. However, as we grow and evolve as people, so can our businesses! This means that what used to feel aligned for us might not anymore, and that’s okay – we just have to be willing to listen to our changing wants and needs and be willing to adapt.
It’s important to remember that whatever energy we are putting into our business is what we get back – so if we are vibrating at a frequency of resentment, getting less than ideal clients, or working ourselves to complete exhaustion, we are only continuing to attract more of that. (To dive even deeper into business energetics and building a 6- or 7-figure business in alignment, listen to this podcast episode!)
Some clarifying questions you can ask yourself to check where you aren’t in alignment anymore are:
- Do the topics I share or talk about light me up?
- Does the way in which I deliver my message feel authentic?
- Who do I really want to serve, and is this who I’m currently serving?
- What might I be attracting into my business that I don’t like?
- Am I consistently creating energetic space for my business to grow?
Another great tool for checking where we’re not living and working in flow is Human Design. This tool serves as an energetic blueprint for how we are meant to uniquely express our energy, and it provides clarity on what we typically experience when we are and aren’t in alignment.
The more we focus on our natural gifts and talents and interests, and the more we follow our excitement, the easier everything becomes. The best way to become clear on what feels authentic and aligned? Take a break, spend time with yourself, notice what lights you up, and reflect!
